Capacity in the real world
A seat count is not a luggage count
An eight-seat vehicle does not always carry eight passengers plus eight cruise cases. List large cases, cabin cases, folded pushchairs, golf clubs, wheelchairs and other bulky items when requesting the quote.

Child seats and legal responsibility
Do not rely on a vague promise that “a child seat will be available”. Tell the operator each child’s age, height and weight, ask what restraint they can provide and check who will fit it. Some families prefer to use their own seat, but storage during the trip must then be considered.
Multiple pickups
Collecting another household can add more time than the extra mileage suggests. Give every postcode at the quotation stage and agree which pickup happens first. If punctuality is critical, one meeting point may be simpler.
On the return
Keep the operator’s contact details in more than one telephone. Agree the airport meeting point and the plan if baggage is delayed. If the return vehicle needs the same seats or capacity, make sure that is written into the return booking.
